JOSADA / McKay: municipality-level microwave mapping

Recorded 2026-09-17 from the sidechat pairing exercise, checked against the saved MIC response and the resulting map. The working map has six cross-municipality equal-power matches and three geographically selected additions. Three further equal-power matches are within the same municipality and are omitted from the map. These are inferred counterpart relationships; MIC masks the actual counterpart.

Source and matching rule

Licensee: ＪＯＳＡＤＡ　ＴＥＬＥＣＯＭ株式会社, corporate number 1010401114875. The existing McKay dossier records the operator association.

All 48 lines use 53M5D7W. The relevant 6 GHz / 53.5 MHz band plan pairs 6015 ↔ 6275 MHz and 6135 ↔ 6395 MHz, both at +260 MHz. The full 53.5 MHz row is now verified from MIC's Japanese PDF, p. 52; the transcript's earlier caveat about the unfinished 6 GHz table is superseded.

The first pass required paired frequencies, identical emission and equal power. Each row below matches on both frequency pairs. We grouped those two channels into one candidate municipality connection; neither an RF line nor a MIC record is assumed to equal one physical link.

Nine unique equal-power record pairs

Low records transmit at 6015 and 6135 MHz; high records at 6275 and 6395 MHz. Power is per listed transmission at each end.

“Unique” is conditional on the equal-power rule within this retrieved sample. “Same municipality” does not establish a physical loopback or co-location.

Remaining entries and the three geographic additions

After removing the nine pairs above, the remaining source entries are:

Equal power leaves the 320 mW assignments ambiguous and Atsugi's 520 mW without an equal-power opposite end. The sidechat relaxed power matching and selected the geographically natural working arrangement:

Holding the earlier nine matches fixed, frequency compatibility also permits Kimitsu → Shizuoka with Susono → Inzai and Atsugi, or Kimitsu → Atsugi with Susono → Inzai and Shizuoka. The chosen arrangement is geographic inference, not a unique frequency solution. Relaxing power across the entire dataset would also reopen the earlier matches.

This accounts for all 48 RF-line occurrences as 12 candidate connections using both channel pairs, if Susono's repeated identical entries represent separate link endpoints. The two Susono occurrences cannot be distinguished. The 520 mW value remains as returned; a typo was suggested in the sidechat but not verified.

What was drawn

The sidechat map HTML contains exactly the six solid and three dashed links listed above, with the three same-municipality pairs omitted. Its ten points are approximate municipality reference positions linked to Wikipedia pages, not MIC tower coordinates. The adjacent japan-source.topojson provides the basemap boundaries, not station data.

The Japanese location names above preserve listInfo.tdfkCd exactly; despite that field's name, this response contains place names rather than numeric codes. radioEuipmentLocation repeats these places and also lists 東京都新宿区 for every JOSADA record. We have not interpreted the repeated Shinjuku entry as a radio endpoint. Licence numbers, callsigns and counterpart names are masked, so the record references and raw municipality text are the available anchors for this exercise.
