Kubota · JS2RA / JS2RB
35.446486, 140.019899 ↗Two guyed towers, four log-periodics and one later Yagi. Each tower has a seven-element low-band array at the top and a ten-element high-band array below. The taller, eastern tower is 59 m high.
Between 8 July 2023 and 24 November 2024: the east tower gained the five-element Yagi, and the west tower gained its microwave dishes. Both additions are absent in the July photograph and present in November.
Philippines antennas on both towers
The added Yagi serves JS2RB from the east tower, alongside JS2RA’s Chicago arrays. Ryota suspects it was added to reduce spurious emissions and estimates it may be for 12 MHz.
The original log-periodics remain
The two original stacks remain: JS2RA / Chicago on the east tower, JS2RB / Philippines on the west. The Yagi is an addition, bringing the site to five HF arrays.
Two directions for microwave
The northwest pair connects to Wakasu. The southeast-facing dish remains unexplained: Ryota’s August 2026 diagram still draws an E-band link from Kubota with no destination.
Overseas receivers
JS2RA → Chicago area
First Japanese licence: 15 September 2021, 10 kW. BR IFIC calls the receiver “Kane”.
The declared point is roughly 90 km west of Toggle / WI2XAJ’s Elburn site. We have not located the actual receive installation.
JS2RB → Philippines
First Japanese licence: 25 January 2023, 5 kW. The west tower’s two log-periodics and the later Yagi point this way.
BR IFIC supplies a receive coordinate; we have no site photographs or installation details for that end.
The Philippines filings did not replace the whole U.S. route. Kane first appeared in BR IFIC on 17 May 2022. On 27 June 2023, a modification moved some assignments to the Philippines while other Kane assignments remained. The Japanese records supply the JS2RA / JS2RB distinction missing from the ITU rows.

Kubota ↔ Wakasu ↔ Shin-Toyosu Cube
Fixed microwave across Tokyo Bay, then E-band into the data centre.
Ryota found the Wakasu rooftop installation in August 2025. The dishes face Kubota, and the large/small antenna pair and even label placement match the equipment on Kubota’s west tower.
A northwest-facing E-band dish provides the onward connection. Ryota traced its bearing to Shin-Toyosu Cube, checked the sightline between the intervening apartment towers, and assigned one of the Cube’s small rooftop dishes to this link.
