Japanese operators and company identities

The Japanese companies, HF stations and U.S. licensees below are grouped by operator. Each section explains the connections between those names and sites. Ryota's company table (English) records parent companies from Japanese registers, reporting and LinkedIn.

High Bar (NLN)

High Bar is New Line Networks' Japanese subsidiary in Ryota's company table. NLN is the Jump Trading / Virtu Financial joint venture, as described by the FCA. New Line owns the U.S. HF licensee 10Band; FCC attachment 249457 names that relationship.

JB2XH is the three-tower transmitter at Chikura / Point 120 m; Gotenyama is the separate receiver. Ryota's September 2024 visit (English) corrects his earlier identification of Gotenyama as the transmitter. Chikura's declared Chicago receiver matches 10Band's Elburn installation, WI2XNX; the ITU/FCC comparison records the coordinates. Sites and photographs.

GT Technologies (Optiver)

GT Technologies Japan → GT Technologies APAC B.V. → Optiver Holding B.V. Ryota's registry table supplies the Japanese-to-Dutch relationship; the KVK-derived company record supplies the Optiver parent of GT APAC, KVK 66202450. The GTT Communications identification in some older blog posts is incorrect.

The U.S. HF company is County Information Services, identified as an Optiver Services B.V. subsidiary in the SMC petition, Appendix E. Its licence WN2XCR covers Wanatah, Indiana.

JB2XI is at Cosmo Classic Club West. Ryota's licence and site account (English) connects the Japanese licensee to that tower. The site also carries NuVo (DRW) microwave equipment; the November 2024 corrections (English) distinguish their equipment and routes. Sites and photographs.

JOSADA (McKay)

JOSADA is McKay Brothers International's Japanese subsidiary. McKay's 2016 Tokyo–Singapore announcement calls Josada its Japanese affiliate; its 2020 Busan announcement explicitly calls Josada a subsidiary. Ryota's company table cites the 2016 release for this relationship. McKay Brothers LLC also appears as the applicant for JOSADA TELECOM in Philippine trademark filing 4/2019/00006072.

Farside Communications is McKay's U.S. HF company. Its FCC contact/signatory Tim Boyle is McKay's COO, named in McKay's own announcement; the Farside filings carry WL2XFU.

The Japanese HF installations are Kanozan TX and Nuda RX. Ryota identifies the Nuda receiver through its JOSADA enclosure and equipment in his September 2025 visit (English). The Kanozan position matches the ITU transmitter declaring Singapore and Hong Kong, while his August 2026 summary (English) reports no full Japanese HF licence or public callsign. DATACOM (IMC)

Ryota's registry table places DATACOM under IMC Asia Pacific B.V. Its LEI relationship record names IMC Global Holdings LLC as ultimate parent. The U.S. licensees are RCA Telecom and Toggle Communications; the SMC petition and their FCC transfer filings (RCA 339076, Toggle 340814) name IMC.

JS2RA and JS2RB are both at Kubota, Sodegaura. The Japanese licences distinguish the Chicago-area and Philippines services, respectively. Ryota's original site visit (English) maps those callsigns to the arrays. Site and photographs.

4HF (Raft)

4HF is Raft Technologies' Japanese company. Ryota's registry table names Raft and lists Carmel Rosenthal and Haim Ben-Ami among 4HF's officers. Rosenthal describes his role as managing director of Raft Technologies Japan (4HF). Haim Ben Ami also signed the U.S. licensee 3DB Communication's 2023 FCC modifications as a director; 3DB's filings carry WI2XXG.

JS2SA is the HF station at Cosmo Classic Club East. McKay's two microwave dishes provide its backhaul, as explained with the photographs and licence inventory in the Raft dossier. The declared Chicago receiver matches 3DB's Maple Park installation in the ITU/FCC comparison.

Sora (Tower)

Ryota's registry table identifies Sora Communications GK as Tower Research Capital's Japanese subsidiary. Tower's U.S. licensees are M-Wave Networks, Rockland Wireless and Alpha Bravo Communications, named in the SMC petition.

JS2SB is at Kokubo / Tokyo Bay Kannon. The MIC licence names Sora; Ryota's March 2025 building-record lookup (English) identifies Sora Communications GK at 1579-2 Kokubo, Futtsu. Site and photographs.

Ermis (AlberBlanc/FalconIon)

FalconIon is AlberBlanc's HF operation. Alex supplied the identification and a screenshot of Aissam Ouriche’s LinkedIn profile, showing him at Alber Blanc as project director for shortwave HFT connectivity. FalconIon's FCC application 0140-EX-CM-2025 names Ouriche, gives aissam@falcon-ion.io, and identifies him as an authorized employee signing the filing.

Ermis operates Shimoizumi TX and Maeda RX on that network. Its ITU Manhattan receiver matches FalconIon's FCC site at 30445 South Cedar Road, and FCC attachment 390168 names Japan as a destination. Ryota's Maeda article (English) identifies Ermis on site, quotes https://ermis.jp/en/author/aissamfalcon-ion-io/, and describes Falcon Ion as its overseas business partner from his registry research. The MIC transmitter licence names Ermis but withholds its callsign. Sites and photographs.

Nuvio Tech proposes using Maeda for a California–Japan link; its FCC path exhibit supplies the receiver coordinate. The commercial arrangement is unknown. Nuvio has not been connected to the similarly named NuVo Networks (DRW).

NuVo (DRW)

NuVo Networks was named Vigilant Global Japan until January 2020, according to its Japanese name-history record; DRW acquired Vigilant Global in 2013. Skycast Services is the U.S. HF licensee: its declaration in the SMC petition identifies DRW NX as builder and operator of WI2XER.

Minamihara is the Japanese HF receiver. Ryota's land-record lookup (English/comments) identifies DRW-NX Japan GK, corporate number 6010003040202, as owner of all three parcels, transferred on 8 June 2023. NuVo and DRW-NX Japan are the two Japanese company names encountered in this network. Site and photographs.
