I had missed this one. Adding a JARL special-event station spotted through J-Cluster.

There was also JD1YAB for the 50th anniversary in 2018, but JARL headquarters—not its Tokyo branch—did not treat it as a commemorative station. In other words, it was treated as just an ordinary club station. Okinawa

  • 2002, 30th anniversary: 8N6THY.
  • 2012, 40th anniversary: 8N6JAPAN, also marking Okinawa Amateur Radio Day 2012.
  • 2022, 50th anniversary: 8N650JP.

An aside: even eleven years later, I cannot forget the YL operator's identification, ‘Eight November Six Japaaaan’. Needless to say, it was spotted as 8N6J. The spotter later withdrew it. …Please do not identify commemorative-station suffixes by reading them as words.

Amami
