Naturally, this suggests that something is in Sodegaura.

Strategy
A blind search, for the first time in a while.
The only clue is ‘within Sodegaura City’.
I decided to begin at the observation platform in Sodegaura Park and search from there.
To the site
Tamachi 6:48 → Shimbashi 7:12 → Sodegaura 8:32 / 9:07 → Sodegaura Park entrance 9:19.
Haneda new-line construction. No dramatic progress.
My usual high-zoom compact camera, the WX350, broke here.

Arrived on time.
Searching for suspicious towers with a monocular from the observation platform.

…An unfamiliar site. This must be it.
Due east from the observation platform.
Now I just have to make my way there.
It is unclear which ridge it is on.
But at this point I thought I would easily get there without losing sight of it.
Departed at 9:46.
Approaching
Lost it. :-)
I happened upon the Higashi-Iwai bus stop, and a bus was due at just the right time, so I decided to go to German Village and regroup.
…But even searching from the Ferris wheel, I could not find it.
I decided to check the plateau one last time and then retreat by bus from Nozomino.
I climbed past the ‘Ittan-momen’ [a visual nickname], on the left, photographed during the preliminary March 2 search, and headed to the ‘Idemitsu village’ at Kamiizumi.
After passing north through the ‘Idemitsu village’, just as I was about to turn left, westward…
!!
Reacquired!
I'm not losing it this time. It is west of here. I will approach.
In the end, it was here ↓. Reached it at 14:25.
I had passed this way during the March 2 preliminary search too… but there had been nothing there then.
Leaving Nozomino to the south was the mistake.
Approaching from the north was the right answer.

It is clearly visible from the northern end of Nozomino's main street.
You could have told me…
Nozomino Terminal 15:48 → Nagaura 16:00 / 16:16 → Chiba 16:42 / 16:58 → Shimbashi 17:40 / 17:45 → Tamachi. Home at 18:30.
